CONCERTS-ON-THE-PLATTE SERIES FEATURES DR. JEFF SCHOYEN ON CELLO AND DR. NATHAN BUCKNER ON PIANO

The Concerts-on-the-Platte Series will feature Dr. Jeff Schoyen, University of Dayton assistant professor of cello, and Dr. Nathan Buckner, University of Nebraska at Kearney associate professor of piano, in a 7:30 p.m. recital Monday, Feb. 23, in the UNK Fine Arts Recital Hall.

Dr. Schoyen will perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s cello Suite No. 3 in C Major. Dr. Buckner will join him to play Beethoven’s Opus 5 No. 1 and Alexander Borodin’s Sonata.

“This is a rare opportunity to hear outstanding string music in Kearney, ” Dr. Buckner said. The Concerts-on-the-Platte series is sponsored by the UNK Department of Music and Performing Arts. The recital is free and open to the public.
