Kearney Area Symphony Orchestra Concert

“Pops and Popcorn” will be the final offering of the Kearney Area Symphony Orchestra on Tuesday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Nebraska at Kearney Fine Arts Recital Hall.

The performance will feature UNK Chancellor Doug Kristensen as the narrator of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf.

Also performing is Erno Feher, a piano major and fourth year student at the Franz Liszt National Academy of Music in Budapest. He will perform Piano Concerto #1 by Franz Liszt. Feher has won numerous international awards and has performed as a solo recitalist and as a chamber recitalist in Europe and the United States.

Lord of the Rings will be the final performance for the evening featuring Irish music from the Wild Clover Band.

All elementary students accompanied by an adult, middle school and high school students will be admitted to the concert free of charge. Adult admission is $6 and senior citizen admission is $5. Tickets are available by calling the UNK Music Department at (308) 865-8618 or at the door.
