UNK Chancellor Kristensen to Address Omaha Rotary Club; Meet with High School Students

On Tuesday, April 15, University of Nebraska at Kearney Chancellor Doug Kristensen will be the guest speaker for the Omaha Northwest Rotary Club luncheon beginning at 12 p.m. Chancellor Kristensen will address issues regarding the University of Nebraska and how the state’s budget crisis will affect its quality of education, tuition, educational opportunities for Nebraska’s youth and Nebraska’s economic growth and recovery.

Earlier in the day, Chancellor Kristensen will visit with students and tour Millard
South High School at 10 a.m. and Omaha Burke High School at 11 a.m.

Locations and Interview Opportunities:

  • Omaha Northwest Rotary Club Lunch: Champions Golf Course – 13800 Eagle Run Dr.
    – Media availability immediately following luncheon
  • Millard South High School: 14905 Q. Street (10 – 10:45 a.m.)
    – meet with Gary Neuhaus, Guidance Counselor and other administration
    – attend an Athletic Training/CPR class taught by UNK alum, Craig Hotz
    – speak with students
  • Burke High School: 12200 Burke Blvd (11 – 11:45 a.m.)
    – meet with Wayne Fowler, Guidance Counselor
    – speak with students
