UNK Student wins State Music Competition

Erno Feher, a University of Nebraska at Kearney student from Hungary, is the winner of the State Nebraska Music Teachers Association Collegiate Piano Competition.

As the winner of the MNTA State competition held on October 26 at UNK, Feher will advance to the Regional Division competition on January 10-13, 2003.

Feher has also won numerous awards including first place in the 2002 International Future Musicians Competition, third prize in the
International Music Competition of Val Tidone in Italy and second place in the second Czerney-Stefanska International Piano Competition. Feher is a student of Dr. James Cook, UNK professor of music and performing arts.
