STUDENTS SUCCEED AT PHI ALPHA THETA CONFERENCE

Students from the University of Nebraska of Kearney participated in the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society Regional conference at Hastings College on April 26-27. Students and faculty from Hastings College, UNK, Nebraska Wesleyan and the University of Missouri-Columbia participated in the event.

Gary Banner of Buena Park, Calif. won first place for his paper “Eisenhower: Standing to the Left of the Right to Keep America in the Center.” Eric Reed of Hemingford won third place for his paper “The History and Social Significance of the Potato in Hemingford, Nebraska.”
