UNK STUDENT PRESENTS RESEARCH AT GEOGRAPHY CONFERENCE

Chelsea Juricek, a senior at the University of Nebraska at Kearney from Crete, presented research that was conducted last summer in Texas under a National Science Foundation-Research Experience for Undergraduates Grant at the Great Plains/Rocky Mountain regional conference of the Association of American Geographers in Omaha, September 27-29.

The title of her paper is “Assessment of Landscape Patch Characteristics and Habitat Suitability for Selected Central Texas Wildlife.” Her paper was co-authored with Wendy E. Sera and Joseph D. White, both of the Department of Biology at Baylor University.
