RYCEK RECEIVES AWARD

University of Nebraska at Kearney Professor of Psychology Robert Rycek received the 2001 Outstanding Teaching and Instructional Creativity Award (OTICA).

The OTICA Award recognizes meritorious and sustained records of excellence in teaching by individual faculty members. The award is accompanied by a $3,500 grant.

University of Nebraska Executive Vice President and Provost Lee B. Jones recently announced the winners of the university’s most prestigious awards for teaching and research.

Outstanding Research and Creative Activity Award (ORCA): Gary E. Moulton, Professor of American History, UNL and Brett C. Ratcliffe, Professor and curator of insects, UNL State Museum.

Outstanding Teaching and Instructional Creativity Award (OTICA): Robert Rycek, Professor of Psychology, UNK and Daniel J. Bernstein, Professor of Psychology, UNL.

University-wide Departmental Teaching Award (UPDTA): Division of Medical Technology, UNMC.
