FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCE STUDENTS WIN AWARDS

University of Nebraska at Kearney students, Kristin Pruter of Stratton, and Becky Heishman of Kearney, won first and second place respectively in the 2001 National Kitchen and Bath Association International Student Design Competition. The winning kitchen design is being built in Orlando, FL, under Kristin’s supervision, for the Annual NKBA. Kristen Hemsath of Curtis, Sherri Sloan of Kearney, and Megan Warren of Omaha, won honorable mentions. As in previous years, NKBA award winners and advance students will also be attending he International Kitchen and Bath Design show in Orlando.

Sandy Lewandowski of Grand Island, and Heishman won first and second place respectively in the 2000 Fisher/Paykel International Student Design competition. Lewandowski’s senior internship is in Miami, FL and Heishman’s is in Kansas City, MO.
