KEARNEY AREA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA TO PERFORM MARCH 6

The Kearney Area Symphony Orchestra will bring music from the country of Finland to the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus as they perform Sibelius’s Karelia. The concert is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. on March 6 in the Fine Arts Recital Hall.

Deborah Dakin will be the guest conductor for the evening. Dakin is coming to Kearney from Augustana College in Illinois. The orchestra will be performing music for the roval court by Haydn. Dr. Jeffrey Schoyen, a member of the UNK music faculty, will perform Haydn’s Cello Concerto in D major as a solo piece.
