UNK-This year the Robert Griffen Long and Outstanding Service award is being presented to Dr. Kathy Carpenter, Director of the Learning Center at UNK by the International College Reading and Learning Association. The award is given to someone who exemplifies professionalism and dedication to the field of learning assistance. Dr. Carpenter was chosen from over 50,000 individuals serving in higher education and is selected from nominations submitted by those actively involved in the field. This year’s award was presented to Dr. Kathy Carpenter in Reno, NV on Nov. 10, during CRLA’s annual awards banquet.
